One major ingredient in successful long-term fitness programs is love. Yes, you must begin to actually love working out. Your body needs to crave exercise. You just don't feel right when you're not moving. Believe it or not, you can actually train yourself to love your fitness program.
If you're considering beginning a fitness program, don't expect to love it from day 1. In fact, chances are high that you won't. The transition of going from "zero to sixty" so to speak are difficult. When you're new, you feel the aches and pains. But once you pass by the initial stages of the transition, you're ready to start loving it.
There are 3 main action steps to your training program.
1. Constantly think about the end result. If you're thinking about how you'll look and feel when you're successful, you're always going to create that subconsious motivation to move forward. Keep imagining your ideal body.
2. Do your workout before work. No matter what time you usually go to work, wake up a bit earlier and workout.
3. Exercise by yourself and with a workout partner. If you only workout alone, you should get a workout buddy to push you some of the time. If you only workout in a group, you should workout alone some of the time. That way, you benefit from having someone push you sometimes, but also from the inspiration that exercising alone can give you.
