Because the feet have so many muscles, tendons, and ligaments, they are full of soft tissue. They are not as "fixed" as we think. If you have one foot that appears to be shorter than the other, it isn't permanent. The foot with a bigger arch will look shorter, while the foot with less of an arch will appear to be longer. Do a little test on yourself. Stand and flatten your feet, and watch how your toes extend forward. Then create an arch in your feet, and watch as your toes come back toward you.
