When health becomes a habit to the point where we are no longer thinking about it, that’s when we’ve succeeded. It’s not about calorie counting or denying those things that you want. It’s not about reaching a certain heart rate during the workout; it’s about enjoying what you’re doing. If that enjoyment isn’t there, long-term success will never be there. Health has to become a part of our daily lives or I’m afraid it will always be “outside” of us.
If we stop reaching for something outside of ourselves and just start living a healthy lifestyle (and enjoying it) then long-term success will be ours. Weight gain, back pain, and low energy will be things of the past, and we’ll all live like we were kids again.
Sounds like fun to me.
