One specific part of health that is overlooked is expressing your emotions and creativity. Each person has their own unique gifts to offer the world, and expressing those gifts is one way to support health.
What do you think your body would look and feel like if you continue to do like you do when you were a kid, before fitness became about thread mills and calories, there is a better way and now you found it? Welcome to the Core Balance Podcast, with your host
Chris Janke-Bueno: Hello and welcome and thank you so much for joining me today on the Core Balance Podcast. Today I want to talk about one specific part of health that is often overlooked. You know when you asked the average person what you need to do to get healthy, and they tell you “I need to exercise, I need to eat right,” and I don't know they might tell you drink a lot of water. The average person I think doesn't take this into account at all and I don't know if you have that all either, but that is the act of expressing your emotions, expressing yourself and your unique creativity. So let’s do a little test here; just kind of bear with me and follow along. So think of the last time you are really enraged, just so mad that you couldn’t even stand it and try to get back there. How do you feel, how do your body feel, you feel that tension, that tightness, that restriction? Let it go and shake it off. Get back in your happy self, shake it off.
That is the exact opposite of the concept that I am talking about in this Podcast that you want to be fit, healthy, happy, the feeling of childlike movement. You remember what it was like when you moved like a kid, when you were a little kid even if you were two years old, three, four years old you have none of that rage intense anger, you just felt relaxed, like moving. I know what your thinking, “oh, Chris I didn't have any responsibilities back then, now I do. I can’t be free and relaxed and as care free as you are.” Well first of all it’s not about been about carefree it’s about handling your emotions as they come up. So last night this triggered my desire to do this podcast because last night we went to a talk with Chris Shelton who I interviewed in episode 121. Chris does Chi Gong and he's talking about emotions and energy and this is something that you know we've brought up to our clients in the context of fitness but I really want to speak again about just how important emotions are to your health and fitness. So if you stand are sitting in the car, stand or sit in a way, that you would, if you were absolutely the most empowered version of yourself. You are so fit, healthy, happy and just feeling invincible absolutely crazy, invincible. How would you sit or stand, how would you move, how would you walk, how would you gesture, you feel that? That is within you. Obviously you called it up, all I did was say some sounds out of my mouth and then you called it up. You felt that way out of thin air that's proof that you can do it. Now what is fitness all about? Fitness is all about repetition over time. So here is an analogy. Let’s say I have a dumbbell on the floor and I said do a bicep curl, you pick up that dumbbell and do that bicep curl. I could say, see you have every ingredient to get fit.
You are physically able to do that exercise one time, if you could do that one time, then you could do multiple reps inside of a set and you could do multiple sets inside of a workout, and you could do multiple workouts inside of a week, inside of a month, inside of a year and then you have your results. You have your reputation over time. Same thing with that little mental exercise that I did a minute ago. If you can get into that state of been completely unstoppable you are fit healthy, happy just like that, like snapping your figures, then you can do it multiple times per day, you can do it multiple days per week, you could do it multiple weeks per month, per year and then, then you have results and you have truly transformed the quality of your life from the inside out. And then you don't need anybody to pump you up and yell at you in order to get fit. You have it within you and I want you to know you had it within yourself all along. All you have to do is condition it until it becomes such a part of your life that you're wondering, how did I ever live without this. It’s amazing what you have inside of you so start to deliberately pull it out and you will be absolutely amazed at the quality of your life.
You've been listening to the Code Balance Podcast am your host Chris Janke-Bueno. We'll talk again next time. Until then let’s be fit, let’s be healthy, let’s be happy. It feels good to move so let’s keep moving.
